Being a Woman is GREAT FUN. I can't even imagine myself being someone else other than a Woman. I have enjoyed the benefits of my dad's protection, my Mother's care, my Brother's constant look-out for me... It was an amazing ride growing up. It became even more amazing when I met the man of my dreams and "tada"(Is that the spelling sef?lol), wedding bells in the air. My wedding Night was extremely amazing. I wish I could give you the details but that should be some other time...*winks*...Yeah! So, Where was I?...Aha, yeah, I vividly remember now.A few months into our beautiful marriage, I woke my husband up who was obviously snoring (I hope he doesn't read this.lol), and told him about my sudden discomforts,
but he said I probably needed to rest well. I nodded in agreement but that was the longest night of my life. I grudgingly got out of bed the following morning and booked an appointment with our doctor. I made it to the hospital as early as 8a.m and they had to run tests - Malaria,Typhoid, Pregnancy, Ebola (Just kidding), and something called "Nigerian Culture", or was it "Blood Culture"? Didn't know what that meant but i simply stayed calm. While i waited for the results to come, I suddenly started feeling like throwing up and before i knew what was happening, I did!...Right there on the floor.I guess I couldn't think of what else to do.It wasn't my house and I didn't have a clue where the restroom was and I wasn't actually duly informed by my vomit that she, (or is it a "He"?), was coming. Thank God I didn't take beans for breakfast. It would have been my worst Morning-Mare.
Well, the mess was cleaned up by the cleaners and I sincerely thanked them for making it seem "normal". My results finally came and Guess what? I was Two months pregnant. In the midst of all the discomforts, I was extremely overjoyed. My husband was surely going to catch a grenade for me on this one. I was so excited that i totally forgot how scruffy I was when I left home for the hospital in the morning. My husband didn't catch a grenade after all, Instead he lifted me up and wouldn't put me down. At this point, I felt like the grenade instead, lol. With a big grin on his face, he looked at me like a child and said "WE ARE PREGNANT".
The journey into being pregnant began, and, I must confess, It wasn't any fun at the beginning. I literally started changing...OMG...I NEVER envisaged this... to be continued
